What has Sachin to do with F1… read on…

So the finally word is out with all the teams naming the drivers for the season 2006.

Lets start with Reanult the last years Champs:

Renault: Fernando Alonso (Spa) and Giancarlo Fisichella (Ita)
Mc Laren: Kimi Raikkonnen (Fin) and Juan Pablo Montoya (Col)
Ferrari: Micheal Schumacher (Ger) and Felipe Massa (Bra)
Honda:Rubens Barichello (Bra) and Jenson Button (GBR)
Toyota: Ralf Schumacher (Ger) and Jarno Trulli (Ita)
Williams: Mark Webber (Aus) and Nico Rosberg (Ger)
RedBull: David Courthard (Fin) and Christian Klien( Aus)
BMW: Nick Heidfield(Ger) and Jacques Vileneuveu (Can)
Midland: Christian Albers (Hol) and Tiago Montiero(Por) (Not yet offically announced but is a foregone conclusion)
Toro Rosso : Speed (USA) and Luizzi (Ita)
* The last team which is Super Aguri will have Takuma Sato if in case they are ready for Bahrain 2006.

And last heard that the teams were not supportive of the controversial wings by Max whose FIA wanted to limit speed or rather overspeeding.

And ofcourse, Narain Karthikeyan is testing with Williams F1 starting today at Jerez in Spain.

I also want to share the immense interest of Sachin Tendulkar who is a great fan of the sport, forget for a moment that he is a God of a game called Cricket.

His review for the last year 2005 season was pretty cool and balanced I shud say.

More action now on to testing tracks as there is an Indian connection to it and I shall be back with some news and some action off the track.

F1 changes hands…

So aXn is where F1 is…on the track and off the track…. ina surprise move F1 Supremo Bernie has sold off his stake…

So the brand F1 has changed hands after all. Will it be that the man who held supreme will be missing in action. Wait and see. But he has no regrets and it was something of a news which was soon coming for some days…

Mergers and takeovers are a part of the whole F1 circus and it is yet another milestone for the organisers and some technical things will have to wait for some days before it gets ok with everything.

More or less the grid has been formed for the next year with all the teams announcing except BMW and Red Bull though they have names to choose.

Grid for the 2006 at the present moment:

Renault: Fernando Alonso (Spa) and Giancarlo Fisichella (Ita)
Mc Laren: Kimi Raikkonnen (Fin) and Juan Pablo Montoya (Col)
Ferrari: Micheal Schumacher (Ger) and Felipe Massa (Bra)
Honda:Rubens Barichello (Bra) and Jenson Button (GBR)
Toyota: Ralf Schumacher (Ger) and Jarno Trulli (Ita)
Williams: Mark Webber (Aus) and Nico Rosberg (Ger)
RedBull: David Courthard (Fin) and TBA (*between Christian Klien( Aus)/Vitantonio Luizzi(Ita))
BMW: Nick Heidfield(Ger) and TBA – Jacques Vileneuveu (Can)
Midland: Christian Albers (Hol) and TBA – Tiago Montiero(Por)
Toro Rosso (new name of Squadra): TBA – Speed (USA) and *alternated here.
The last team which is Super Aguri will have Takuma Sato and another driver TBA.

So catch up with testing and new rules and changes for next year…

Some action will be back at the pits with the tyre change allowed so a part of the action will add to the spectacle… while we await the Bahrain Grand Prix to start the season opener we will have our hands full with new rules and new engines the v8s and a lot to work on….

The Japanese and Chinese GPs have interchanged dates….from the first announcement. Catch up with you…
